This set of works is inspired in Goya’s prints entitled “Los caprichos”, which were made at the end of the 17th century. On a neutral background, gray, silent and infinite, light, precise lines and masses of black coal are moving. In this space, where the composition is constructed with a maximum of simplicity, diverse narrative actions are developed. One single individual with different capabilities to characterize, plays a role in different scenes. He is the perpetrator and the victim. The present and the vanishing. The obedient and the rebel. The living and the dead. The one who cries and the one who laughs…It’s a whole that blooms and expands without limits. It’s the personification of the psyche: the designation of all processes and phenomena that unify the human mind.
